What We Believe
- The Jesus Embassy holds that the Bible is the Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative, and practical for daily life. (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:20-21)
- We hold to the supremacy of God Almighty, who is one eternal God and the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is entirely holy and absolutely loving. (Eph 4:5-6; 1 Cor 8:16; Gen 1:26; Mt 3:16-17)
- We believe that sin has severed everyone of us from God and His purposes for our lives.
- We believe that the only One who can reconcile us to God is the Lord Jesus Christ, who is both God and man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to show His victory and grant us eternal life.
- We hold that confessing our sins, believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, and yielding to His plan for our life are necessary prerequisites for receiving forgiveness and the “new birth.”
- We hold that baptism in water (immersion) and being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit are prerequisites for living the holy and fruitful lives that God desires for us.
- We believe in the importance and power of the Church as well as the requirement for believers to regularly gather for fellowship, prayer, and the “breaking of bread.”
- We believe that God has uniquely equipped everyone of us to fulfill His purpose for our lives, which is to worship Him, carry out our part in the Church, and give back to the community in which we live.
- We believe that God desires to heal and change us so that we can live blessed and healthy lives and more effectively assist others.
- We believe in both the rapture of the church and the second coming of Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thess 4:16-17; Mt 24:29-30)
